Local organizations count too. A current profile with the Miami-Dade Bar (which runs a lawyer referral service), the Broward County Bar Association (which runs its own Lawyer Referral and Information Service) or The Florida Bar is a trusted local listing that points to your firm. We check which ones you have, and which ones are missing or out of date.
Law firm SEO and marketing in Miami
The Miami metro has more than 9,400 law offices, from Brickell to Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach. Most people looking for a lawyer here start with a search on their phone and call one of the first firms they see. We help Miami-area firms show up in Google Maps, search results and AI answers, then turn those searches into signed clients.

A very large market, and a crowded one
Miami is a very large legal market. The metro covers three counties: Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. Here’s what U.S. Census Bureau data for the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach metro (County Business Patterns 2023 for legal services, American Community Survey 2020–2024) means for your marketing:
| Measure | Miami metro | What it means for your firm |
|---|---|---|
| Law offices | 9,404 | Almost every practice area has a long list of firms competing for the same searches |
| Offices with 5 or more staff | 1,957, about one in five | Most competitors are small firms, but nearly 2,000 have real marketing budgets |
| Median household income | $76,527, about 5% below the US median | Many clients compare costs, so clear pages and a quick reply win the call |
| Population | 6.25 million | Enough demand for specialist firms, not only generalists |
What Miami search results look like
We ran common searches from a Miami location in November 2026, mostly on desktop, including “criminal defense attorney miami”, “divorce lawyer miami”, “immigration lawyer miami” and “dui lawyer miami”. Four things stood out:
The map comes first
Google showed its three-firm map on every search we checked, and on desktop it led the page for most of them. The exception was “dui lawyer miami”, where seven paid ads came before the map. That makes your Google Business Profile and local SEO the first job.
AI answers appear on some searches
Google’s AI Overview opened the mobile results for “dui lawyer miami” and sat just under the map for “workers comp lawyer miami”. On the DUI search it cited Justia among its sources. We track whether your firm is named in those answers, and in ChatGPT, through our AI search work.
Directories take spots
Super Lawyers showed up in the organic results on six of the ten practice-area searches, and Best Lawyers, Yelp, Justia and Avvo took spots too. A complete, consistent profile on each one is part of being found.
Demand is real, but specific
Google estimates about 1,900 searches a month for “criminal defense attorney miami”, 1,600 for “divorce lawyer miami” and 880 for “immigration lawyer miami”, plus longer phrases and searches for nearby cities. That’s why we build pages for the cases you want, not one page for “lawyer Miami”.
Pages built for how Miami clients search
People here rarely search for “a lawyer”. They search for a case type, a city or a question about Florida law. We plan your law firm SEO around those searches, one page each:
- Case type plus city: “divorce lawyer miami”, “workers comp lawyer miami”. Clear intent, and fewer competitors than the broad terms.
- Cities and counties: “family lawyer fort lauderdale”, “estate planning attorney boca raton”, “dui lawyer west palm beach”. Clients often want a firm near the courthouse they’ll be in.
- Florida law questions: “can I sue if I was partly at fault in Florida”. Since a 2023 change, an injured person found more than 50% at fault for their own harm recovers nothing in most negligence cases, and anyone below that line has the award cut by their share (Florida Statutes § 768.81). Injury clients ask about it before they call.
- Spanish-language searches: Google estimates about 210 searches a month for “abogado de inmigracion miami” and 170 for “abogado de accidentes miami”. A translated page rarely ranks; a page written for the words people actually search can.
- Your attorneys: each lawyer’s name plus “lawyer”, which is what people check right before they call.

Local courts and bar groups, used properly
Miami-area firms work across the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade County, the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit in Broward County, the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, which holds court in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. Those names belong on your practice pages where they’re relevant, because they’re what clients and AI answers connect with a local firm.
Florida’s advertising rules, built in
Florida has its own rules for lawyer advertising, including a filing requirement, and some of them catch firms out online:
File before it runs
Rule 4-7.19 of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar has you file most ads with the Bar at least 20 days before they first run. Your own website is exempt from filing under Rule 4-7.20, but it still has to follow the other advertising rules.
A name and a real office
Rule 4-7.12 asks every ad to name at least one lawyer or the firm, plus the city, town or county of a bona fide office. The rule’s comment says an ad can’t suggest an office where you don’t have one, which matters for town pages and map listings.
Every language you use
If an ad runs in English and Spanish, the statements the rules require have to appear in both languages (Rule 4-7.12(c)).
The 30-day rule
Rule 4-7.18 bars a lawyer from sending a written communication to an accident victim or their relative about the accident until it’s more than 30 days old.
We write your pages, ads and Google Business Profile posts within these rules and flag anything that needs your sign-off. You still have the final say on what your firm advertises, but you shouldn’t have to catch rule problems yourself.

Questions firms ask
Do you have an office in Miami?
No. PointClick is a California-based company and our team works remotely, so we meet Miami clients on Zoom or by phone. Your marketing is about your office and your market, not ours: we plan around your address, your courts and the competitors your clients actually see.
Do you work with firms in Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach and the rest of the metro?
Yes. We work with firms anywhere in the Miami area, including Miami-Dade County, Broward County and Palm Beach County, from Hialeah and Coral Gables to Hollywood and Pembroke Pines. If you have more than one office, each one gets its own Google Business Profile and its own location page on your website.
Can you get my Miami firm into the map results in Fort Lauderdale or Boca Raton?
Sometimes, but distance matters. Google weighs how close a firm is to the person searching, so your profile is strongest near your office. Further out, reviews, a strong profile and good pages for those areas widen your reach. We don't create virtual offices to cover more towns: Google suspends profiles for that, and it puts your firm at risk.
How much does law firm marketing in Miami cost with PointClick?
The PointClick Client System starts at $2,500/month. Firms in competitive practice areas, like personal injury and criminal defense, often need more content and link building, so they may invest more. Paid ads are an add-on at $1,500/month plus the ad spend you pay Google and Meta directly. We quote a firm number after the free Growth Audit.
How long before SEO brings in cases?
Some fixes help within weeks, like a Google Business Profile that's finally complete or a form that actually reaches you. Rankings for competitive Miami searches take months. We recommend at least three months for SEO, and if you need calls sooner, Google Ads and Local Services Ads can bring them in while rankings build.
