Law firm SEO and marketing in Denver

The Denver metro has more than 2,200 law offices, from downtown to Aurora, Lakewood and Centennial. Most people looking for a lawyer here start with a search on their phone and call one of the first firms they see. We help Denver-area firms show up in Google Maps, search results and AI answers, then turn those searches into signed clients.

A crowded market with money behind it

Denver is a big legal market for its size. The metro covers the City and County of Denver and nine counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Douglas, Elbert, Gilpin, Jefferson and Park. Here’s what U.S. Census Bureau data for the Denver-Aurora-Centennial metro (County Business Patterns 2023 for legal services, American Community Survey 2020–2024) means for your marketing:

What Denver search results look like

We ran common searches from a Denver location in November 2026, mostly on desktop, including “car accident lawyer denver”, “divorce lawyer denver”, “dui lawyer denver” and “personal injury lawyer denver”. Four things stood out:

  • The map comes first

Google showed its three-firm map on every search we checked, desktop and mobile, and it was the first result for nearly every case-type search. That makes your Google Business Profile and local SEO the first job.

  • AI answers are only starting here

Google showed an AI Overview on just one of our searches, “personal injury lawyer denver” on desktop, and it sat below the map. That can change quickly, so we track whether your firm is named in AI answers, and in ChatGPT, through our AI search work.

  • Directories take spots

Super Lawyers ranked first for “estate planning attorney denver” and near the top for workers comp and criminal defense searches, and Justia ranked first for “dui lawyer denver” on mobile. Yelp, LawInfo, Forbes and Best Lawyers showed up too. A complete, consistent profile on each one helps.

  • Demand is real, but specific

Google estimates about 3,600 searches a month for “car accident lawyer denver”, 2,400 for “divorce lawyer denver” and 1,600 for “immigration lawyer denver”, plus longer phrases and searches for nearby towns. That’s why we build pages for the cases you want, not one page for “lawyer Denver”.

Local courts and bar groups, used properly

Denver-area firms work across the Denver District Court and Denver County Court (Denver’s Second Judicial District keeps them as separate courts), the Arapahoe County courts in Centennial and Littleton, the Jefferson County courts in Golden and the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. Those names belong on your practice pages where they’re relevant, because they’re what clients and AI answers connect with a local firm.

Local organizations count too. A current profile with the Denver Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association or a suburban bar group in Arapahoe, Adams/Broomfield or Douglas/Elbert counties is a trusted local listing that points to your firm. We check which ones you have, and which ones are missing or out of date.

Colorado’s advertising rules, built in

Colorado has its own rules for lawyer advertising, and some of them catch firms out online:

  • A responsible lawyer and contact details

Rule 7.2(d) asks every communication about your services to include the name and contact information of at least one lawyer or law firm responsible for it.

  • “Specialist” claims need a named certifier

Rule 7.2(c) bars saying or implying a lawyer is a certified specialist unless an approved or ABA-accredited organization certified them and the ad names it. The comment adds a required line for those ads: “Colorado does not certify lawyers as specialists in any field.”

  • “No fee unless we win” needs more

The comment to Rule 7.1 says that if you advertise no fee without a recovery, you also have to say the client may be liable for costs, or for the other side’s attorney fees if a court orders it.

  • The 30-day rule

Rule 7.3(d) bars soliciting anyone about a personal injury or wrongful death until more than 30 days after the event, unless you have a family or prior professional relationship with them. Colorado law sets the same 30-day wait (C.R.S. § 13-93-111).

We write your pages, ads and Google Business Profile posts within these rules and flag anything that needs your sign-off. You still have the final say on what your firm advertises, but you shouldn’t have to catch rule problems yourself.

Questions firms ask

Do you have an office in Denver?

No. PointClick is a California-based company and our team works remotely, so we meet Denver clients on Zoom or by phone. Your marketing is about your office and your market, not ours: we plan around your address, your courts and the competitors your clients actually see.

Do you work with firms in Aurora, Lakewood, Centennial and the rest of the metro?

Yes. We work with firms anywhere in the Denver area, including Adams County, Arapahoe County, Douglas County, Jefferson County and Broomfield. If you have more than one office, each one gets its own Google Business Profile and its own location page on your website.

Can you get my downtown Denver firm into the map results in Aurora or Lakewood?

Sometimes, but distance matters. Google weighs how close a firm is to the person searching, so your profile is strongest near your office. Further out, reviews, a strong profile and good pages for those areas widen your reach. We don't create virtual offices to cover more towns: Google suspends profiles for that, and it puts your firm at risk.

How much does law firm marketing in Denver cost with PointClick?

The PointClick Client System starts at $2,500/month. Firms in competitive practice areas, like personal injury and criminal defense, often need more content and link building, so they may invest more. Paid ads are an add-on at $1,500/month plus the ad spend you pay Google and Meta directly. We quote a firm number after the free Growth Audit.

How long before SEO brings in cases?

Some fixes help within weeks, like a Google Business Profile that's finally complete or a form that actually reaches you. Rankings for competitive Denver searches take months. We recommend at least three months for SEO, and if you need calls sooner, Google Ads and Local Services Ads can bring them in while rankings build.
